Trigger Warning

I walk quickly inside a lantern’s wall
my own fingers struck one hundred matches to the flame
and, everything has an origin
This I am taught later
with my head positioned so I cannot turn away

The matchbox for instance
constructed from the plum trees in my
uncle’s garden
I am taught again
you can fall off a roof in more than one direction.
