Yes, Dad, here I am, talking to you once again.
Can you hear me from Heaven
as I celebrate your one-hundredth birthday,
that grand old century mark, even though
you left this world many years ago,
you have never been forgotten
on any of your birthdays since.
Each birthday, celebrated,
and on each occasion, dearly missed.
I sit at the table with a picture
of you in my mind,
one to be remembered as long as I live.
Yes, Dad, once again
