It Was a Very Big Year: How many species can one avid birder find in 12 months on Vancouver Island? Ann Nightingale of Rocky Point Bird Observatory will speak about her adventures to set a Vancouver Island Big Year birding record in 2015. Over the course of 12 months, she traveled from tip to tip of the island several times, tracking down both one-of-a-kind and common birds in fields, forests, and on the water. This show will focus on birds, but will also highlight the amazing scenery and wildlife of Vancouver Island.
