In 2013, Sara Angel started the Canadian Online Art Book Project in order to bring Canadian art history into contemporary conversation. Since then, the Art Canada Institute has published a library of digital art books—all available for free and released simultaneously in French and English—on key artists that have defined the country's visual culture. This talk will address how she brought Canadian art history into the digital age and explore why it is more relevant now than ever before.
In English with simultaneous translation.
