Trigger Warning

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds

Goldenvoice presents

Known as rock and roll’s “Prince of Darkness,” the Australian native formed the Bad Seeds in 1983, in the wake of the breakup of influential goth-rockers Birthday Party, and they quickly achieved widespread acclaim, maintained and expanded upon over the course of 16 studio albums. The band’s latest album, Skeleton Tree, met with universal critical praise: Pitchfork gave the album a 9.0, and the Guardian called it “brilliant music on the verge of collapse.” 2016’s One More Time With Feeling, the documentary following, in both 2D and 3D, the tragic backdrop of the making of Skeleton Tree, received an A from Indiewire, who called it “at once sobering in tone and intoxicating in style.”

The band performs two Massey Hall shows as part of their 2017 17-city North American Tour. Well known for intense and inspiring live shows, the Toronto Star gave their last local concert “five stars out of four,” while the Dallas Observer wrote that  “No one on the circuit can both command and terrify a crowd quite like Nick Cave,” and ranked him “amongst the best frontmen of this or any generation.”
