Trigger Warning
Workshop leader is Pablo Rivera. All materials supplied. 3 sessions on Thursday nights for 2 hours on April 13, 20 and 27 This class will be aimed at the student who has had little or no experience carving stone. The student will be introduced to recognizing the latent image in a stone and go about "releasing" it through carving away the excess with rasps, files and varied sand papers.This method of sculpture is the very same procedure Michelangelo used to create some of his pieces.
