Harmonize your Painting Using the Limited Palette
June 17, 2017 (9am-4pm) The limited palette has been the choice of many master painters throughout history because of its ability to harmonize a subject while easing the complex decisions of color mixing. No other component of painting is more complex than recreating the colors of life with what’s on our palette. In this one-day oil painting workshop, we will dive into the benefits of simplified color. We will experiment with the favorite palette of Artist Anders Zorn. Working from photos supplied by the instructor, learning how to substitute and simplify as we go. A demonstration in the morning will be followed by students practicing the concepts on small studies.
