This poem threads the needle of the human subconscious, to materialize an icon humans face when they get tension building up in them.
Author: Adam Smith
Adam's story is an alternative one - not the college degree, and work. He came down with paranoid schizophrenia two weeks after the car/train accident he was in, about a month before he began college, and dropped out after a year. He was homeless for two years, technically several, but actually lived penniless on the streets for two, sixteen-to-fifteen years ago. His thinking is sane, though, and he thinks that makes for a brilliant thing, reflected by his poetry. He has the "hero complex" as well.
The only poem he has ever submitted was published in the June 2011 issue of PeripheralSurveys.com. Its title is, "Sylvia." He wrote two philosophy books, which haven't yet been published.
Currently, he dabbles at several different fields: art, stand-up comedy, modeling, acting, while continuing to build on his bulk of poems and philosophy writing.
